BALANCE IN MOVEMENT
ART AND DESIGN
Finding balance in movement.
How do we achieve balance in our lives, with our time? Time keeps moving, life keeps moving. This is an attempt to capture this movement. Demand for consumption, increased production, constant expansion, does something to us. The noise takes over.
In the sculpture, the separate parts are able to move freely, to oscillate. The different sculptural elements are constantly negotiation its form, by engaging space, in its endless search for balance. Creating a moment to stop, to take a breath, to reflect.

Central to both sculptures and design of the utility items is, balance and movement. The sculptures use balance and movement as their main force. . In the utility items it is more subtle. It is the unique properties of the material. How hot glass moves while working with it, but then freezes in seconds. Glass goes from liquid to solid, and within this process, a movement can be captured.
